Any of you guys had a tire leak from where the wheel weight is clipped on?
My Buick is doing this from the inside weight. Took it off and it slowed considerably but there's still tiny bubbles.

No way that clip can push in far enough to interfere with the bead. All I can think of it maybe there's a broken piece of clip or some crap in there from a previous tire change but id think it'd be a pretty rare coincidence to end up needing a weight in the same place.

Or is it? If the rim is light there maybe it would need a weight in the same place just a lighter or heavier one? Tires ain't perfect either. I'm having trouble seeing all these stars align.

Might mark it, break the bead, clean it up, see that everything's in good shape, seat it again and see what happens.

Shit looks all corroded and feels rough where the wheel weight was on it, and just to the right of it where a previous weight was on it as well. Maybe like that on the inside too.

Aluminum rim. Assuming lead/zinc weight and cheap steel clip? Dissimilar metals over time anyways.

Took some of the truck apart. Good news and bad news are pretty much the same thing. Everything I guestimated needs to be replaced, however that's about all that needs to be replaced.

damn, those are some cheap parts.

Shame the core support is so expensive, sure you can't pull the current one and flatten it?

NPD is a good place to be near. Most of these are repro as well, OEM is roughly 20x the price when available.

Probably could. I'll take more pics later and send it to a couple friends that do bodywork.

It's cold and shitty so breaking it all down can happen tomorrow the next day but judging by the looks of the outside I think you're right on the corrosion. That shit has a tendency to creep and spread.
