Actual reason: I have a bunch of model rocket engines, but no ignitors. This lets me use pretty much any small electronics component I've got laying around as an ignitor. It'll cost me about 50 bucks CAD and many hours when it's done, so I probably should have just bought some ignitors.

So yes, I built a detonator. To make things even more terristy, I got the idea (and the 3D printed cock-rocket idea) from an Iranian dude.
