Making life harder for Kirtland, combine with all the other actions everywhere, puts pressure on the government to change policy. Disproportionate response is a relatively common military strategy. The point isn't who is more right the point is winning. The Palestinians have been warned ad nauseam, and they know first hand that Israel is motivated, has a highly proficient military, and is fully equipped fighting force. Hell they have been attacked in 3 full scale wars with nation states since the 1960s and won them easily despite being a much smaller country.
Hamas fucked around and found out. I'm not crying a river over it.

When October 6th happened I said when Isreal is done there will no longer be a Gaza and sadly it looks like that is going to come true. I think the Hamas / Iran plan was Isreal will respond the way they have and the world will rally against Isreal, cut them off financially, and possibly even intervene militarily to stop Isreal. Governments have vocally started to speak out against Isreal's handling of the war but they clearly aren't going to be shut off financially or militarily. And Hamas clearly doesn't care about saving the Palestinian civilians or else they would have released the hostages by now. This isn't going to end now until what's left of Hamas is completely destroyed.
I think the clear solution is to remove day 6 from every month.

You apparently dont understand what happens in a "war". How many civilians do you think are dying in Ukraine? You can try to stay on military targets but if the enemy hides in the population and the population protects them they are actively participating in the war. I don't see the Palestinians expelling Hamas or cooperating with the Israelis to get rid of them. There isn't much left as an option except to level Gaza.
Ur an idiot if you think this would all be over if Hamas would just release the hostages. Israel has already said that its goal is the destruction of Hamas, which is as ephemeral as our "war on terror". As long as they say there are Hamas, they will keep going.
