For decades their mantra has been that if you don't like the laws of a certain state you should just move to one that better suits you. If there aren't any jobs in your area then you should move to where the jobs are and it's entirely your responsibility because it's entirely your choice where you live. If you aren't competitive in your local labor market then it's your personal responsibly to get training in something that will get you a job.
But coal miners? Nah, they shouldn't be expected to move. They shouldn't be expected to retrain because, as the president said, they like mining coal. They like it so in order to ensure those people are coddled and taken care of but the government we have to sacrifice clean air and water.
