well, you've definitely had worse car accidents, that's for sure.Happy Friday to me! Hydroplaned, fishtailed and went face first into a guardrail on my way to work this morning.
Walked away from it like nothing happened, it wasn't even a bad enough hit to set off the airbags, but RIP corolla. Prices of used cars are stupid right now and here's hoping that insurance valuations are raised to match :/
At least I don't have to listen to the throwout bearing chirping anymore.

Shit man, if you were in a Subaru you would have lived.I didn't hit the guardrail head on, more of a sideways dorifto into it, so it wasn't a hard hit.
II was probably doing like 50km/hr towards the guardrail but still 75km/hr up the highway. I spun around a couple times and eventually skidded a good ways off the road. So a nice slow loss of momentum, I guess.
It's not obvious in the pic there but the whole front end of the car got shifted a couple inches to the right by the impact. Like the passenger side front tire sticks out from the body, and the driver's side tire is pushed inwards.
Me writing off car #1 set off a chain of events that led to me meeting the missus, though.well, you've definitely had worse car accidents, that's for sure.
yeah used cars right now are hella expensive, even if they give you mint KBB you're bonedMe writing off car #1 set off a chain of events that led to me meeting the missus, though.
This one is really more of a major annoyance. I'm here looking at other similar age/mileage cars trying to get an idea of what they're selling for, so that when insurance comes at me with an offer I've got a "you really think I'm gonna get into an equivalent car?" package for refusing their first offer. It's a pain in the ass.
We rented one last weekend when we were in WI. Damn that was a nice car.I might do something dumb and buy a used A4.
Was looking at GTIs from the same generation as my old one but it's near impossible to find an unmolested one.
Headed off to work in heavy rain again, wish me luck!
